An accomplishment of note in this project was creating the game's level without a level artist. The challenge of realizing the humor of the unique game concept without unique assets was a constraint I used to the advantage of the game's design in the end: The concept of a witch teacher and her dungeons as the game's level was devised around the fantasy environment assets released for free by Epic Games.
My responsibilities in this project covered all aspects of game and level design as well as project management. Some of my tasks were:
• Creating and updating the game design document,
• Designing the melee combat system with movesets and frame data for three character classes (only one of which was developed for the prototype),
• Specifying the AI behavior to govern four different enemy types,
• Creating the Chemistry 101 level in Unreal Engine 4, including cinematic and scripted events, using self-made and free assets to convey the humorous narrative of the game,
• Monitoring the project, prioritizing and distributing tasks on JIRA.
